one of the best things with summer is pancakes. here is the absolute BEST way of making them.
make the batter a little bit thicker than usual so that the pancakes will stay whole when turning them on the pan. we used some syrup instead of sugar tonight.
make shure the fire is hot enough. and make the pancakes as thin as possible.. otherwise they will be all black before they are ready to be turned around.
this looks perfect. all though I would like to make them even bigger, but our pan is not of that sort that u can lift it up and spread the batter.. so then I have to spread it out using the ladle.. and that is a bit tricky…
we experienced some “cold fire” and had to add moore logs.. because of that a couple pancakes didn’t turn out really well made.. or they just had to stay on for a very long time to get some colour.
best to be eaten right away.. with Ice-cream and strawberries (our berries were in the freezer so I had to cope with only vanilla ice-cream. The best part of being the chef with this kind of food is that I can pick out the best ones for myself
beware for natures own spice’s… this is also called a very protein-rich pancake.. or pancake con carne
